The Aldersgate Group is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Policy Manager. This is an important time to be joining the Group, with significant policy development opportunities ahead in shaping the first Environment Bill in over 20 years, implementing the Clean Growth and Resources and Waste Strategies, developing a new policy package to deliver net zero emissions, influencing the UK’s future Green Finance Strategy and shaping key environmental and low carbon policy in the EU after the European elections.
The successful candidate will join a small Secretariat of six employees and shape and lead the Aldersgate Group’s policy work. The Policy Manager will report to the Executive Director, work in partnership with the Public Affairs Manager and will be responsible for managing a new Senior Policy Officer.
In close co-ordination with the Public Affairs Manager and with some support from the Executive Director, the Policy Manager will oversee the development of the Aldersgate Group’s overall policy work. The assignment will include an element of green finance policy as part of AG’s work with CUSP.
