THE NATURE OF PROSPERITY | Launch Event
Our launch event featured Dr Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, in conversation with long-time peace and environmental activist Satish Kumar. Other speakers were Jane Elliott (Chief Executive of the ESRC), Karen Hamilton (Global VP Sustainable Business, Unilever), Tim Jackson (Director of CUSP) and Caroline Lucas (MP and Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Limits to Growth); followed by a stunning live-performance from the Streetwise Opera.
It was the first in a series of public debates (hosted by CUSP) engaging young and old alike across business, policy and civil society in one of the most vital questions of our time: what does prosperity mean in a world of environmental and social limits? Recordings of the event can be accessed below.
If you prefer a simple audio recording, you can listen to a podcast on Mixcloud. Photos of the event can be found in our CUSP gallery.
Under the umbrella of our Nature of Prosperity dialogue, we launched a public engagement campaign to elicit the views of the wider community about what the nature of prosperity is. For more information about #ProsperityIs, please visit the dedicated theme page.
